The Oregon Trail unlocks the territories for significant migration and settlement. Peasants, traders, loggerscraftsmen, hunters and fishermen set forth in droves and establish colonies and cultivate land. For the first time in 1848, gold was discovered in California, later also in Oregon Territories and Canada. This attracts enormous masses to the West.
After the Civil War 1861-1865 many soldiers of the federal army get awarded with land in the Northwest to start for themselves. This leads to a massive logging in the woods, a shootout of animals like bears and buffalos, and forcing back the Indians into reservations. The good relations at first change into hostility which leads to the end of mutual Indian wars and the formation of coalitions to battle against the federal army of General George Custers in Montana, who lost from the Indians.

1888 The first railway to the West, from Mineapolis to Seattle is opened and this means the end of the Oregon Trail. From now on the adventurers, pioneers and gold diggers comfortly arrive by train to the Wild West. Within half a century 375.000 people moved from East to West for a new living in this area. 1889 Washington became the 42nd state of the Union. In less than a century a continental USA was originated and finished.
